May I suggest Google?

Seems fitting. Why not a return to the old stomping grounds?
Marissa Mayer is on the job market after the former Yahoo CEO left the company following its buyout from Verizon. But while some have speculated she'll take a role as a full-time venture capitalist, Mayer says she wants another turn in the driver's seat as a CEO, according to a report Wednesday by Business Insider.
I so hope that happens. I really do.

Reputedly,

Carly Fiorina ruined Hewlett packard
Marissa Mayer screwed Yahoo..

Is it too early to think there may be a pattern emerging?

oh theres a few hundred more data points you could add to that list...

the fems even have an explanation for it...the glass cliff...where women are put in charge of failing companies as scapegoats.

Thats why women CEOs fail so often; its the mens fault.

"The glass cliff". That's great: "We can run companies too, as long as they already successfully run themselves!" What happened to the superior communication and organization skills, not to mention the superhuman multitasking, that females were supposed to bring to the boardroom and make all companies betterer and more profitily?

Fiorina salvaged H-P. It was dead when she arrived and she was pilloried for firing enough people to save it.

Mayer was the heroine of the crew that destroyed 95% of shareholder value. They could have sold out to Microsoft for $40/share.

Looks like selling to company was always he plan and she was just brought on to drive-up interest and trick buyers into believing that Yahoo was actually worth more than its investment in Alibaba. She was paid a lot of money to look shiny and pretend the company was actually a going concern.

That's not really fair. Yahoo was in a power dive when she took the helm. The most you can say is she didn't pull it out of the dive.

And great moves like this were supposed to save Yahoo?

So Yahoo was in a power dive?

Was she ignorant when she took the job, or was "CEO" on her business card the peak consideration?

Three women classmates get together for drinks at their 20th class reunion. First they compare their occupations. Next they compare job titles. Next, the gross sales or market cap of their firms. It's all about competition.

Homo homini lupus est has NOTHING on the battle among all women.

A CEO brought in during decline has their main purpose being turning the company around. In this case she didn't do her fucking job then did she, simple as.

Stop defending these fucking cunts who are trumpeted as the saviour and betterment of all organisations, everywhere, when apparently we're all "equal" and "gender is a social construct", but at the same time that magical vagina between her legs means more women at the helm are absolutely needed.

The human species worships Women and Vagina. This will never end, ever, until our species does.

I wonder if the "glass cliff" applies to the Roman Empire too.

This is what happens when you get your ideas on how to run a company from hollywood movies.

Purely through "anecdata," it seems that women best succeed as CEOs when they run companies that specialize in products and services targeted specifically at women.

Maybe Meyer should wait for the CEO chair at Harlequin Publishing to open up. Or take over a cupcake bakery.

Mayer doesn't need to go back to Google, she should take over at CNN.
